Listed below is a comparison of the Bordogni Vocalises. The charts compare the popular Melodious Etudes for Trombone series by Johannes Rochut to editions by Sluchin/Tezak and Schwartz. In the left hand column are the original Bordogni etude numbers used by Sluchin/Tezak and Schwartz (STS). In the right hand column are the corresponding Rochut etude numbers. Thus, in STS volume 1, etude number 1 has no match in the Rochut book, but STS number 13 corresponds with Rochut number 14, with the key being changed in the Rochut to B from the original Bb. All Rochut edition keys are identical to the STS keys unless otherwise noted. The Sluchin/Tezak piano accompaniment books have the solo line in concert C treble clef.
